How to get started

You are in charge of Nescafé sales for the entire city. Your goal is to help people find the right type of coffee at the right time and place. Follow these easy steps to start brewing success!

 

1. Stock your warehouse with coffee.

Starting the gameYou start the game with a small warehouse which allows you to sell the Nescafé starter products: Nescafé 3-in-1 and Nescafé Ice. You buy products by the case. Each case contains 10 cups of coffee. Click the plus-sign (+) to add cases of coffee to your warehouse order. Click the minus-sign (-) to remove cases from your order. When you're happy with your order, click Buy Stock. Your inventory is shown in the Activity Bar.
For your first day, add five cases of Nescafé 3-in-1 and five cases of Nescafé Ice.

 

2. Plan a marketing campaign.

Marketing OptionsClick the Marketing activity bar. Click the left and right arrows to review each marketing campaign. For local campaigns, click the location where you want the campaign to take place. After you choose your campaign, you have to choose which product you want to sell. Click the product icon to target that product. When you're happy with your decision, click Buy Campaign.
For your first day, buy a Free Trinket campaign at the Supermarket and target Nescafé 3-in-1.

 

3. Set your prices for each location.

Set your PricesClick one of the Location buttons in the Locations activity bar. Click the plus-sign (+) or minus-sign (-) to adjust the retail price for your available products. Retail prices are shown as a percentage of the wholesales price, so you can easily see if you are making a profit on each cup sold. For example, if you sell at 90%, you lose money on each sale; if you sell at 100%, you break even; and if you sell at 150%, you make a 50% profit on each cup sold. All retails prices for all products and locations start at 120%.
For your first day, set the price of Nescafé 3-in-1 to 150% and Nescafé Ice to 130% at all locations.

 

4. After you have planned your day, click START.

Now you're in business!

 

5. After your first day, review your overall performance and see the results of your pricing and marketing decisions.

ResultsThis is the time to ask the important questions: Which customers bought the most coffee? How satisfied were they? Which location had the most sales? Did your prices seem too high? What do you have left in your inventory? Should you buy more, or should you try something different? There are two sections where you can review your performance for the day: the Locations activity panel and the Overall Performance activity panel.

 

6. Update your standing among other Nestimulo players.

Click the Update Standing button in the Overall Performance activity bar to post your results.

 

7. Start planning the next day.

Time to get back to the grind!
